How do I restart my Genius device?

From the home screen, use the keypad to press 000.
Use the keypad to enter the password. The default password is 9416557.
Tap Options.
Tap Restart Device.

To forget the POS that your Genius device is currently connected to and connect to a new POS using Bluetooth, complete the following steps:

Use the keypad to press 1, 5 and 9 at the same time.

Can my Genius device remember my POS on startup?

When you enabled Bluetooth connection on your Genius device, you selected one of the following possible connection modes:

Pair every time: On startup, your Genius device forgets all previous POS devices and automatically searches for available POS devices.
Pair with memory: On startup, your Genius device remembers the last POS device it was connected to and automatically reconnects to it.

Why can’t I connect my Genius device to my POS using Bluetooth?

Your Genius device may not be Bluetooth-enabled. By default, Bluetooth connection isn’t enabled on Genius devices. To enable Bluetooth connection, contact our Genius Support Team.

You can connect your Genius device to your network using more than one connection type. Your Genius device uses the following priority order to determine which connection type to use:

Ethernet

Find your network

Use the keypad to press 1, 5, and 9 at the same time.
Tap Com Control.
Tap WiFi.
Tap Configuration, and then use the keypad to enter the password. The default password is 200331.

My gateway connection tests failed. What do I do?

If your gateway connection tests failed, follow the steps for your connection type:

Ethernet

Check that your router or switch has a working internet connection.
Check that you inserted the Ethernet cable into the Ether port. Don’t insert the cable into the RS232 port.
