How do I replace my battery in my Genius Handheld?

Discharging your old battery

Before you install your new battery, fully discharge your old battery. To help speed up the discharge process, complete the following instructions:

Set the sleep timer to maximum

1. Tap Settings and then tap Display.
2. Swipe to Sleep and tap it.
3. Select 30 minutes.

Increase the screen brightness to maximum

1. Tap Settings and then tap Display.
2. Select Brightness.
3. Drag the slider fully to the right.

We also recommend that you open your Genius app.

Installing your new battery

1. Remove the rear battery cover by sliding it down until it clicks and then lift it off.
   
2. Place your finger in the groove at the base of the battery housing and remove your battery.
   
3. Insert your new battery by aligning the three gold contacts on the top of your battery with the contacts in your Genius Handheld. Press down on your battery until it clicks.
   
4. Replace the rear battery cover and slide it up until it clicks. Check that the cover is secure before charging and turning on your Genius Handheld.
