I can’t find my Merchantware credentials. What do I do?

We sent your Merchantware credentials in an email with “Merchantware Credentials” in the subject line. If you can’t find your Merchantware credentials, contact our Support Team.

My gateway connection tests failed. What do I do?

If your gateway connection tests failed, follow the steps for your connection type:

Ethernet

Check that your router or switch has a working internet connection.
Check that you inserted the Ethernet cable into the Ether port. Don’t insert the cable into the RS232 port.

How does my Mini device work?

Note: Your Semi-Integrated Mini does not share any sensitive cardholder data with your POS.

Your POS sends information about the transaction to your Semi-Integrated Mini such as the price and number of items.
Your Semi-Integrated Mini application displays the information to your customer.

How do I unpair my Mini device from my mobile device?

Open the Genius Mini application.
Tap Bluetooth.
Tap Bluetooth reader connected.
Select the Serial Number of your Genius Mini that you want to unpair.
Tap Yes.

The Mini application is frozen, what do I do?

To unfreeze your Genius Mini application, force close it and then reopen it. If your Genius Mini application is still frozen, contact our Genius Support Team.

My Mini device does not turn on, what do I do?

If your Genius Mini doesn’t turn on, check it has sufficient charge. If your Genius Mini has a low battery level, the status indictor flashes red.
To charge your Genius Mini, complete the following steps:

Insert the micro USB cable into the micro USB port on your Genius Mini.

How do I check my Mini device is ready to use?

Before using your Genius Mini, we recommend you do the following:

Check your Genius Mini has an IP address
Check your Genius Mini connects with our gateway
Run a test transaction on your Genius Mini

How do I set up my Mini device?

To set up your Genius Mini, do the following:

Install the Genius Mini application on your mobile device
Connect your Genius Mini to your mobile device
Configure your POS application to work with your Genius Mini

Part 1. Install the Genius Mini application on your mobile device

Important: You must install the Genius Mini application on the same mobile device that you installed your POS application.

My POS is not functioning correctly, what do I do?

Important: If your POS is not functioning correctly or is not communicating with your Genius device, contact your POS provider for technical support. Complete the steps in this article to work out if your POS error is related to your Genius device.
