My e285 device isn’t reading chip cards, what do I do?

Your Semi-Integrated e285 accepts EMV cards. If your Semi-Integrated e285 is not reading a chip card, check that the card is fully inserted into the card slot.

If the card is fully inserted, but still is not being read, complete the following steps:

1. Remove the card from your Semi-Integrated e285.
2. Contact your POS provider to confirm that the integration between your POS and your Semi-Integrated e285 is up to date.
