To stop collecting signatures for EMV transactions, contact our Customer Support Team.
Note:
- You must continue to support signature as a Cardholder Verification Method (CVM).
- You still need to collect signatures for transactions that legally require them. Check with your local licensing authority to find out when customers need to sign a receipt.
- Some Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) must continue to use chip and signature for all transactions. For more information about using chip and signature, contact our Customer Support Team.
What do my employees need to know?
If you stop collecting signatures for EMV transactions, your employees need to know the following:
- How to process chip and pin or contactless transactions.
- That they still need to collect signatures for transactions that legally require them.
- Why there are changes to the payment process, so that they can answer your customers’ questions.
Let us know if this answered your question. If not, please let us know why!
