{"id":104,"date":"2022-02-03T17:14:13","date_gmt":"2022-02-03T17:14:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/?p=104"},"modified":"2024-10-02T13:45:48","modified_gmt":"2024-10-02T13:45:48","slug":"creating-a-user-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/creating-a-user-account\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating a user account"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To create a new user account, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2024\/10\/6_my_account_user_management_final-2160p.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1. <\/strong>From the home screen, click the User Management icon <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"width: 40px\" src=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/02\/User_management_icon.png\" alt=\"Icon for the user management section of the Merchant Portal\">.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2. <\/strong>Click the <strong>Create User<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/02\/Untitled.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1756\" height=\"1100\" src=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/02\/Untitled.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-932\" style=\"width:439px;height:275px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 3. <\/strong>You will now be taken through a step-by-step wizard where you will enter in the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>User&#8217;s Basic Information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data Access<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Basic Information section<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This section will require you to enter the user&#8217;s first name, last name, and email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the drop-down menu, you will also select one of the following user roles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Account User<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Account Administrator<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Access section<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The steps to complete the Data Access section may be different, depending on how many MIDs or MID groups you have access to.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have access to only one MID group, you can choose specific MIDs from your MID group or you can add all the MIDs that are within that group.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have access to more than one MID group, you will be able to choose MIDs from all of those groups.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information about data access, please check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/managing-data-access\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"939\">Managing Data Access<\/a> article. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Review Configuration section<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To complete setting up the user account, review the information that you have entered for the new user account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to change any of the information, click <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" style=\"width: 40px\" src=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/merchantportal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2022\/02\/Merchant_Portal_Edit_Button.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of the Merchant Portal's edit button\"> next to the section you want to change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><div class=\"notice\"><p><b>NOTE:<\/b>  A set-up email is automatically sent to the new user.
