This amount is reserved on the card, but not charged. This means that the customer can add additional service costs to their bill that they can settle when they check out.<\/p>\n<p>On the VX520 you settle an Auth Only transaction by running an Off Line transaction.<\/p>\n<div class=\"notice notice-danger\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> To retrieve the funds that you held, you need a copy of the Auth Only receipt.<\/div>\n<p>To run an Off Line transaction, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>From the <a href=\"hardware\/how-do-i-access-the-softpay-home-screen-on-my-vx520-to-start-processing-transactions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SoftPay home screen<\/a>, press the leftmost purple key twice, to access the third menu screen.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">F1<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\"> (Off Line).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Use the keypad to type the amount to authorize, then press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">Enter<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>To confirm the authorization amount, press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">F1<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\"> (Yes).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Use the keypad to type the card number, then press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">Enter<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Type the expiration date, the press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">Enter<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Use the keypad to type the Transaction ID or Invoice Number printed on the Auth Only receipt.<\/li>\n<li>Type the Approval Code printed on the Auth Only receipt.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">Enter<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>To print a copy of the receipt for the customer, press<strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">\u00a0F1<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\"> (Yes).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Use Off Line to complete an Authorization Only (Auth Only) transaction, or an authorization that you completed over the phone.
