(Restaurant account &#8211; tip processing)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To open a tab, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ol>\n<li>From the <a href=\"hardware\/how-do-i-access-the-softpay-home-screen-on-my-vx520-to-start-processing-transactions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SoftPay home screen<\/a>, press the second purple key from the left twice, to access the third menu screen.<\/li>\n<li>From the third menu screen, press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">F2<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\"> (Tab), then press <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">F2<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\"> (Open Tab).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Enter an amount for the tab using one of the following actions:\n<ul>\n<li>To use the default amount of $25, press <strong>Enter<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Use the keypad to type in a value for the tab, then press <strong>Enter<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Swipe, dip, or tap the payment card on the terminal, or use the keypad to type the card number then press<strong>\u00a0Enter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If the customer\u2019s card is Visa or Mastercard, press <strong style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">F1<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Select the customer\u2019s preferred language:\n<ul>\n<li>English \u2013 <strong>F1<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Spanish \u2013 <strong>F2<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>F1<\/strong> (Yes).<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">If the customer is using a card that requires a PIN.
