Run a gateway connection test by completing the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;a. From the home screen, use the keypad to press <strong>000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;b. Use the keypad to type the password and then tap <strong>OK<\/strong>. The default password is <strong>9416557<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;c. Tap <strong>Options<\/strong> and then tap <strong>Network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;d. Tap <strong>Options<\/strong> and then tap <strong>Connection Test<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;e. Confirm all tests have passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>&#8211; If all the tests have passed and your Genius P400 is still not functioning correctly, contact our <a href=\"managing-my-account\/contact-us\/#Genius\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Genius Support Team<\/a>.<br>&#8211; If your Genius P400 is connected to the internet but your Genius P400 is still not functioning correctly, continue to step 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Step 2<\/strong>. Check your Genius P400 is connected to your router and that you have a live internet connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>&#8211; If your Genius P400 is connected to the internet but your Genius P400 is still not functioning correctly, continue to step 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Step 3<\/strong>. Confirm all necessary ports and hosts are open and available by completing the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;a. Check with your system administrator that the following ports are open:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;i. 443: SSL<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;ii. 8443: HTTPS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;iii. 8080: HTTP<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;b. Check with your system administrator that the following hosts are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;i. genius.merchantware.net<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;ii. transport.merchantware.net<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;iii. logupload.merchantware.net<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;iv. ps1.merchantware.net<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; If any of the ports are not open, ask your system administrator to open the necessary port.<br>&#8211; If any of the hosts are not available, ask your system administrator to add the necessary host address to your hosts file.<br>&#8211; If the ports and hosts are open and available, continue to step 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Step 4<\/strong>. Restart your Genius P400 by completing the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;a. Remove the 12V power cable from your Genius P400 for at least 30 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;b. Plug the 12V power cable back into your Genius P400.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>&#8211; If your Genius P400 still does not connect to the network, continue to step 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Step 5<\/strong>. Check that your Genius P400 has an IP address by completing the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;a. From the home screen, use the keypad to press <strong>000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;b. Use the keypad to type the password and then tap <strong>OK<\/strong>. The default password is <strong>9416557<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;c. Check that there is an IP address in <strong>IP address<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>&#8211; If there is no IP address in <strong>IP address<\/strong>, you can set a <a href=\"Genius\/p400\/how-do-i-set-a-static-ip-address-on-my-genius-device-2-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">static IP address<\/a>.<br>&#8211; If there is an IP address in <strong>IP address<\/strong>&nbsp;but your Genius P400 is still not functioning correctly, continue to step 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Step 6<\/strong>.
