In the WiFi menu, you can view the network status and test your connection with the Local Area Network (LAN), the Wide Area Network (WAN), or with the internet by using the ping function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The WiFi screen displays the current network status, which is one of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Down<\/strong> &#8211; If the Network is <strong>Down,<\/strong> your device attempts to force a connection. If this attempt fails, your device can&#8217;t connect to the LAN.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Up<\/strong> &#8211; If the Network is <strong>Up<\/strong> and the gateway ping fails, your device can detect the LAN, but can&#8217;t establish connection to the WAN. This can be due to a firewall, a closed <a href=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/1\/payment-devices\/genius\/p400\/what-are-the-genius-devices-default-ports-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">port<\/a>, or your device being configured for dynamic IP address when a <a href=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/1\/payment-devices\/genius\/p400\/how-do-i-configure-a-static-ip-address-on-my-genius-p400\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">static IP address<\/a> is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To test your Semi-Integrated P400&#8217;s connection, complete the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>From the home screen, use the keypad to press&nbsp;<strong>1<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>5<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>9<\/strong>&nbsp;at the same time.<\/li>\n<li>Press <strong>1<\/strong>, <strong>5<\/strong>, and <strong>9<\/strong> again, and then tap<strong> supervisor<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Use the keypad to enter the password, and then press <strong>Enter<\/strong>. The default password is <strong>1166832<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>Diagnostics<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>Communication<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>WiFi<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To check connectivity with your LAN, tap <strong>Ping IP <\/strong>and use the keypad to enter an IP address from your network.<br \/>Or<br \/>To check connectivity with the WAN, tap<strong> Ping IP<\/strong> and use the keypad to enter an IP address from outside your network.\n<div class=\"notice\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you do not have 12 digits in your IP address, use zeros to complete your IP address. For example, to use the IP address 192.168.2.35, enter 192.168.<\/span><b>00<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2.<\/span><b>0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">35.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>Ping<\/strong>.
