To care for your battery, complete the following instructions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#storing your battery\">Storing your battery outside of your Genius Handheld<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#checking your battery\">Checking your battery before use<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#using your battery\">Using your battery in your Genius Handheld<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<a id=\"storing your battery\" class=\"anchor\"><\/a><h3>Storing your battery outside your Genius Handheld<\/h3>\n<p>If you store your battery outside your Genius Handheld, complete the following steps:\n<ol>\n<li>Cover the metal terminals on your battery with non-conductive electrical tape.<\/li>\n<li>Store your battery in a cool, dry place, away from any flammable items, for example, store the battery by itself on top of sand or on concrete.<\/li><\/p>\n<div class=\"notice notice-danger\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> Do not place your battery in a sealed container.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<a id=\"checking your battery\" class=\"anchor\"><\/a> <h3>Checking your battery before use<\/h3>\n<p>Before you use your battery in your Genius Handheld, do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check your battery for damage, including signs of crushing, deformation, and broken casing.<\/li>\n<li>Check that the surface of your battery is clean.<\/li>\n<li>If the battery terminals are dirty, rub them with a clean, dry cloth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"notice notice-danger\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> If your battery shows any signs of damage, <strong>do not use it<\/strong> and contact our <a href=\"contact-us\/#Genius\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Genius Support Team<\/a>.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<a id=\"using your battery\" class=\"anchor\"><\/a><h3>Using your battery in your Genius Handheld<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Use only the charger that we supplied to charge your Genius Handheld.<\/li>\n<li>Charge your Genius Handheld at least once every three months.<\/li>\n<li>Do not leave your Genius Handheld near any heat source or direct sunlight.<\/li>\n<li>Use and store your Genius Handheld only in locations within the following limits:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8211; Operating temperature: 0\u00b0C \u2013 45\u00b0C (32\u00b0F \u2013 113\u00b0F)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8211; Storage temperature: -10\u00b0C \u2013 55\u00b0C (14\u00b0F \u2013 131\u00b0F)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8211; Humidity: Maximum 95%<\/p>\n<h3>Warnings<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not place any metal objects near your battery\u2019s metal terminals. This may short-circuit your battery and damage it.<\/li>\n<li>If your battery gives off a bad smell, generates heat, or is discolored or deformed, immediately stop using it.
