Your device will turn on.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"step3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Step 3: Connect to your network<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into a free port on your router or switch.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1767 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/07\/6.png\" alt=\"Inserting ethernet cable into router\" width=\"570\" height=\"301\"> <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the utility cable. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1765 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/07\/Set-up-7.png\" alt=\"Inserting ethernet cable into utility cable\" width=\"629\" height=\"357\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"step4\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Step 4: Configure your POS<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To configure your POS, you need the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Your <a href=\"https:\/\/help.globalpaymentsintegrated.com\/1\/payment-devices\/genius\/i-cant-find-my-merchantware-credentials-what-do-i-do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Merchantware credentials<\/a>, including your:\n<ul>\n<li>Merchantware name<\/li>\n<li>SiteID<\/li>\n<li>Key<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"how-can-i-find-out-my-genius-devices-ip-address\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>IP address or hostname<\/u><\/a> of your Genius Countertop.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"notice\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: If you don\u2019t have a free Ethernet port, your POS can share a network connection with your device.
