When updating an existing recurring billing contract, you must select to apply the surcharge to the contract.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>On the toolbar, click <strong>Recurring Billing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beside the customer\u2019s record, click <strong>View<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click <strong>Edit Contract<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If surcharging is enabled for your merchant account, select the <strong>Apply Surcharge<\/strong> option.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Update Contract<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>View Contract<\/strong> and you\u2019ll see the applied surcharge is selected as <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Important: If applying a surcharge to a transaction, please note that it is available only for U.S. issued credit cards when processing a sale or an authorization transaction.
