Complete the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the toolbar, click <strong>Virtual Terminal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Card Information:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Type the <strong>Card Number<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Use the month and year drop\u2011down menus to select the <strong>Expiration Date<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Type the <strong>CVV<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) Type the <strong>Name on the Card<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Type the <strong>Street Address<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Type the <strong>Postal Code<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Type the Order Information:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>(Optional) <strong>Customer ID<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invoice Number<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional)<strong>Customer&#8217;s Email<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Subtotal Amount<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) <strong>Tax Amount<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) <strong>Tip Amount<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) <strong>Convenience Fee<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) <strong>Notes&nbsp;<\/strong>relating to the sale for future reference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>(Optional) To allow the same transaction to occur for the same card more than once in a 24-hour period, select the <strong>Allow Duplicate Transactions&nbsp;<\/strong>check box.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Submit Payment<\/strong>. The Payments Portal displays either a decline, or an approval screen:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Decline &#8211; Payments Portal may display a reason such as \u201cDecline; Invalid CVV.\u201d You can retry the card or ask your customer to use different payment method.<\/li>\n<li>Approval &#8211; The approval screen includes a summary of the transaction. On the approval screen, you can:<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Email or Print Receipt<\/li>\n<li>Start a new sale<\/li>\n<li>Void the sale<\/li>\n<li>Change the Tip Amount<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"notice\"><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>If you are a Virtual Terminal user and do not have an integrated POS, the Payments Portal does not display the <strong>Tip Amount<\/strong> and <strong>Convenience Fee&nbsp;<\/strong>fields.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can use the Virtual Terminal to run a credit or debit card sale.
