How do I check my Genius Mini is ready to use?

Before using your Genius Mini, we recommend you do the following:

• Check your Genius Mini has an IP address
• Check your Genius Mini connects with our gateway
• Run a test transaction on your Genius Mini

Check your Genius Mini’s connection to the internet

The IP address of your Genius Mini displays on the Info screen. To check your Genius Mini has an IP address, complete the following steps:

1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Confirm there is an IP address next to IP address.

Check your Genius Mini connects with our gateway

Run connection tests to check that your gateway connections are working correctly. To run connection tests, complete the following steps:

1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap Test.
3. Confirm that the test shows Network Test Pass. If the test does not pass, contact our Genius Support Team.

Run a test transaction

We recommend that you use your POS to run a test transaction.

• If the test transaction transfers successfully to your Genius Mini, cancel the test transaction and start running live sales.
• If the test transaction does not transfer successfully, contact our Genius Support Team.
