How do I check my M400 is ready to use?

Before using your Semi-Integrated M400 , we recommend you do the following:

• Check your Semi-Integrated M400’s connection to the internet
• Check your Semi-Integrated M400 connects with our gateway
• Run a test transaction on your Semi-Integrated M400

Check your Semi-Integrated M400 ‘s connection to the internet

The IP address of your Semi-Integrated M400 is available on the Admin Overview screen. To access the Admin Overview screen, complete the following steps:

1. From the home screen, use the keypad to press 000.
2. Use the keypad to type the password and then tap OK. The default password is 9416557.
3. Confirm there is an IP address next to IP address and a host name next to Hostname.

• If either field is not populated, check your Semi-Integrated M400 is functioning correctly.

Check your Semi-Integrated M400 connects with our gateway

Run gateway tests to check that your gateway connections are working correctly. To run gateway tests, complete the following steps:

1. From the home screen, use the keypad to press 000.
2. Use the keypad to type the password and then tap OK. The default password is 9416557.
3. Tap Options and then tap Network.
4. Tap Options and then tap Connection Test.
5. Confirm all the tests have passed.

• If the tests do not pass, check your Genius M400 is functioning correctly.

Run a test transaction

We recommend that you use your POS to run a test transaction.

• If the test transaction transfers successfully to your Semi-Integrated M400, cancel the test transaction and start running live sales.
• If the test transaction does not transfer successfully, check your Semi-Integrated M400 is functioning correctly.
